It was a great honor to have the US Secretary of Energy, Jennifer Granholm visit the Southern New England Industrial Assessment Center on Friday, the 20th of May 2022. During her visit to the center’s lab, she interacted briefly with the students. The center director, Dr. Liang Zhang gave her updates about the center’s activities and plans. The center co-directors Dr. Ravi Gorthala and Dr. Amy Thompson were present along with the representatives from the center’s industrial partners Eversource, AVANGRID, Linde, and CTMRG. One of the center’s current student assessors, Amogh Garuda Dwajan had the privilege to introduce the Secretary at the press meeting. At the press meet, she announced the funding for 7 new IACs at Universities all over the U.S.
We are more than thrilled by the Secretary’s visit.
