Energize Connecticut is an initiative dedicated to empowering Connecticut consumers, businesses, and communities with the resources and information they need to easily save energy and build a clean energy future. The work of the Southern New England Assessment Center was featured on their Energy Assessments page which highlights programs for businesses to determine critical energy-saving opportunities and implement them with the help of incentives and financing. The SNE IAC is also featured on the Energize CT Energy Efficient Manufacturing page outlining programs and training on how to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and reduce energy consumption.
The pages highlight that the U.S. Department of Energy funds the SNE IAC to provide no-cost, no-obligation energy assessments for small to medium-sized manufacturing plants, paying more than $100,000 annually in energy bills with the goal to reduce energy usage and improve the overall energy efficiency of manufacturing facilities.
